Lyte Fiber Lights Up Marshall with S’mores and Reindeer, While Supporting 111-Year-Old Empty Stocking Fund

MARSHALL, Texas (Dec. 9, 2025) – Lyte Fiber, LLC (“Lyte”) is bringing extra sparkle to the holiday season as the proud sponsor of two magical, free evenings of “S’mores & Reindeer” during Marshall’s beloved Wonderland of Lights festival.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, Dec. 11, and Thursday, Dec. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 100 N. Washington Ave. in downtown Marshall. These family-friendly events, presented in partnership with Marshall Main Street and Visit Marshall Texas, will feature fire pits with complimentary s’mores, a live reindeer meet-and-greet, and one very special guest on opening night.

The iconic full hitch of Budweiser Clydesdales – complete with gleaming harnesses and the historic red beer wagon – will parade and pose in front of the Harrison County Courthouse from 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 11, courtesy of R & K Distributors.

In the spirit of the season, Lyte is donating $1,000 to the Empty Stocking Fund, now in its 111th year of ensuring Harrison County children wake up to gifts on Christmas morning. The ceremonial check presentation will take place during the “S’mores & Reindeer” event on Dec. 11.

Lyte has also become an official toy drop-off location for new, unwrapped toys. Bring your donations to: Lyte Fiber, 309 E. Austin St., in Marshall.

“Holiday traditions are about connection, whether it’s gathering around a fire pit with a gooey s’more or making sure every child in our community feels the magic of Christmas,” said Tasha Nichols, general manager of Lyte’s East Texas region. “We’re honored to help light up Marshall with these events and to support the Empty Stocking Fund’s century-plus legacy of giving.”

Both evenings are completely free and open to the public; no tickets or reservations needed. Bring the whole family, snap photos with the Clydesdales (Dec. 11 only), pet a real reindeer, roast marshmallows, and celebrate the season together.
