PITTSBURG, Texas (Sept. 21, 2026) – The City of Pittsburg and Lyte Fiber announced completion of the first multi-gig, 100% fiber internet service in Pittsburg. This transformative, multi-million-dollar investment in Pittsburg delivers next-generation connectivity to the entire city. Residents and businesses now have access to multi-gigabit speeds, unparalleled reliability, and responsive local support.
The announcement highlights a partnership between Lyte Fiber, a Texas-based broadband company, and the City of Pittsburg to close the digital divide and improve the community’s connectivity with a 36-mile, state-of-the-art, fiber optic network serving nearly 2,200 homes and businesses.

The entire project was funded privately by Lyte Fiber, whose investment in Pittsburg follows similar community partnerships across the state, underscoring its commitment to expand broadband access in rural Texas through collaboration with local governments, utilities, and civic leaders.
